CTEC offers two forensic investigation courses; the General Incident Investigation, and Collision Investigation Fundamentals.
There are standard investigative procedures to follow generic to any type of incident whether a slip and fall, work place or motor vehicle incident.
The 2-day General Investigation course will teach participants what information to document and how to do it. OH&S and WCB require an employer to INVESTIGATE an incident. Without training, those reports are based on unsubstantiated opinion and conjecture.
The 5-day Collision Investigation Fundamentals course includes the General Incident Investigation course, as the investigational steps remain the same no matter what type of incident occurred.
The third day of the course deals with issues specific to motor vehicle involved collisions.
The last 2 days deal with mathematical based methods to designed to assess the avoid-ability of the incident.s
